Sheesh, I'm so freaked I can't type.

To explain,


Tonight is the night of the big Halloween Ball, thrown by one of Sarasota's 'Royal High Homos'...lol

Anyone who is anyone will be there, and any flaming Mo who wants to be seen with 'the beautiful people' will surely make an appearance.

Needless to say, your Joshy will make his dramatic entrance, dressed as Stevie Nicks, no less... (damn this sweaty high heeled boots)

The problem is, Keith, my ex will be there, I'm sure, and I haven't really even seen him since he moved out a few months ago.

What's the proper thing to do ? Just give him an icy 'Hello'. Try to make awkward conversation ? Ignore him all together ?

It's hard to be terribly dramatic in a blond wig and black lace cape, so I'm beginning to freak out about how to handle this. The guy broke my heart, and I haven't even 'been with' anyone since...

I don't wanna get drunk and make an ass out of myself in front of everyone...

I'm officially freaked. Maybe I shouldn't go at all... NO then he wins.. I..

I say go. You don't want your ex to ruin a fun night for you, but If it was me I would completely ignore him. If he runs into you and says "Hello" politely greet him back and excuse yourself. It's always fun to bring a friend just incase you get sidetracked they can snap you back into reality.

When I know there's a possibility of an encounter at a social event with a recent ex, I make sure I have some pretty nice arm candy with me.

I am remain cordial, but by no means engaging with the ex.

oooh I had an ex ...really bad break-up ...basically started ignoring me... So rather than make a big deal of it I moved on....

it happened one night... we were at the same club...I was there with 2 VERY good friends... when he approached me ...before I could say anything they intercepted him and told him I had nothing to say to him and he'd best be moving on...

End of story...
