Today I had a date with a guy who Is just like..AWESOME. But I felt soooooo awkward walking up to him. He's 6'5 and I'm 5'6. So the whole time I had to like stare at the ceiling just to make eye contact. I'm really attracted to taller guys which works out perfectly anyways because pretty much everyone is taller than me but this was just awkward. The waitress even offered to bring me a booster seat. :(

Awkward...

but fun...

...I wanna do it again.

Size doesn't matter. Hehehe. If you really like him and he really likes you, then go for it!!

I wonder if he felt bad and awkward about how much taller he was. I'm 6'4'' and sometimes wish to be shorter. Sometimes.

6'4 is fine because I'm 6'2 and I prefer a guy that's closer to my height or taller(the taller-Dude part NEVER happens, but i can keep dreaming)..So you'd be fine in my book...It's the 5'6 that I'd have 2nd thoughts about...I never thought about a cut-off point when it comes to height but since we're on this subject I have to say 5'9 is my cut-off point....

Once you tell me you're under 5'9 the first thing that would pop-up in my mind is "I don't think so"...In any case "Never say never" is always the #1 Rule..

My former partner was 5'5" and I am 6'2". The difference never mattered. The only thing he liked to do was if we were out at a club, he liked to stand next to me on a step so he was more eye level. BTW, in that relationship, he was the top.

so sunshine, you're 5'6'' and think you're short? lol

so that must make me a dwarf, huh?

i'm like 5'2''

I know. I am 6'4" and I just met this guy for the first time today we had alot of fun going to the movies and lunch but he's 5'6" ~ 5'7".

I think I'm falling for him. Never felt happier b4 this :D

What's fun is topping a guy who's a lot taller than you are...you just throw his legs over your shoulders...and get to work.

i'm 6'1", and i like guys at least 5'10" but it's fun to sometimes go shorter. You can throw them around in bed a lot more heheheh ;)

I used to hate it, but there are enough guys who like it, too.
Plus other things seem are in relation .. haha :D

Hate being a tiny bit above average (6ft) i mean you get the lanky limbs that taller guys get but without the advantages of actually being tall, id love to be 5"6 or so they can look really good so easy...

It's no secret here that I've always been into shorter guys. 90% of my encounters have been with guys under 5'6" (1.7m). I'm just over 6 feet 1.85m.

i'm 6'2 and I have always dated shorter guys. I did go on one dat with a guy that was 5'5. it was just too awkward.

Well, I'm a small person of 5'4" and I've never suffered with any insecurities because of it; indeed it has always brought me rather positive attention from men. My diminutiveness, coupled with the fact that I have absolutely no trace of masculine ego about my character whatsoever, means that I very often bring out the protective instincts in men, which in turn seems to activate affection and even tactility towards me. This seems to happen regardless of whether said men identify themselves as straight, gay or bi, by the way. Now, I'm not saying that I'm every man's love munchkin... heavens no; but what I am saying is that the kind of attention that would most likely cause a sufferer of "short man's syndrome" to bristle is the kind of thing that I would either take with a good-natured pinch of sodium chloride or positively indulge.

Besides, I suppose it could be said that being without certain physical endowments as a means to assert one's presence and all of the socio-psychological pressures and expectations associated with such attributes goes some way towards allowing one to focus more on developing the power of one's personal qualities as well as one's cerebral contribution to the table of humanity... well, in an ideal sense, at least!:-)

I'm 5'6'' and I never had an issue with my height, I have always been happy with it. I usually prefer guys around my height, although I don't discriminate against any height a lot of the guys I have been attracted to are usually closer to my height (under 6 feet).

I fucking hate being short. people talk to me like I'm a child, they pat me on the head, they call me a "boy," they assume I'm a bottom and they tell me I'm "cute."

I can't see in crowds, I don't get seen in crowds. I can't reach the top shelves, I can't find clothes that fit me off the rack and my feet don't touch he ground when I sit on normal size chairs at a restaurant.

Oh, and when I sit in a booth, the table comes up to my neck.

I kind of like not being able to touch the floor with my feet though. Tall chairs are fun. So are tall toilets. It's like I'm sitting on a throne when I poop.
