That's totally understandable, and I see that you've found my comments on
Gay Dating Sites or Apps where I've told of my experiences. Apps may be an option to find potential friends if they're willing to chat for a while and see where it leads, meet for a coffee, etc. but most guys on apps fall into one of two categories: (1) they want to meet right away, fuck, and leave; or (2) they have no intention of ever meeting and are only playing games. I've met strangers for sex and that's okay for me, that's been my choice, I'm experienced and I know what I'm getting into. It's totally understandable that it's not for everyone, not for you. You might find guys who are looking for friends and to develop relationships, maybe for that they're worth a try.
I was only suggesting to you that if you're looking to arrange a meet-up online, don't only rely on JUB because we're a worldwide community
I'm not a bar guy either, I totally understand you. You might find like minded guys in your other real-life situations - there are many of us, and many won't be obviously gay, bi or curious! There are many guys who are not out, many who identify as straight or questioning, maybe fearful of making a move or of being found out. Many are openly gay and you won't have to guess. Good luck, and meanwhile, enjoy reading our experiences here. If you want to know anything, just ask!
