until i met a man who had no feet ...

i don't know who said that, but it is an awareness that i live with all the time ....

i have worked for 7 years as a volunteer in Haiti ... long before the earthquake ... and i will tell you now that even being so poor and perhaps low on even that social totem pole .... people can be ... and ARE ... happy ... and motivated ... and grateful ...

in so many ways, living an existence with some great challenge to it ... makes us better people ... if we face the challenge head on and don't let circumstances grind us down ...
