I Love Spiders

Don't mind snakes at all, but spiders give me the creeps. I don't know why that is...hmmm.

Ah - thanks T-Zero  Dammit - they're cute too ;)

Another lil' fella I've always liked is the mole :D

I used to go round sabotaging my old man's mole traps any time he set them in the garden  He was convinced he had the smartest damn mole in the country playing games with him, lol.

^ I'd love squirrels in my attic ..| I'd be up there leaving them food #-o

Something I don't think I'd want in my attic but I like nevertheless - bats :D

They're fascinating lil' fellas too. Where my mom lives if you go outside and stand at the end of the house just after sunset there are quite a few that fly around the house. It's kinda strange when you hear the noise of their wings go past your head as you stand in the darkness - sends a little shiver down your spine

Brilliant standing there while they flit about, and if the owl hoots as well.... (!) (!) (!) :D Love it ..|

Another spider fellow - good on you! Here's Delena cancerides, from Australia, for you:

I don't generally mind spiders. There are a couple they freak me out a little, mainly them small black ones that jump. Often in my area during the spring, these beautiful black and yellow spiders start bilding webs they themselves are a sight to behold. Those are definitley okay with me! It's the best when they build right outside the window so you can watch them work.

I'm cool with most snakes too!

:D

I don't let any bugs or animals stay in my home. But I enjoy the wild animals outside. The bugs are fine out there as well. I like to have a clean home and allowing bugs to live inside is not a good idea. I know people that have had some pretty serious bites from spiders.

I killed a massive spider yesterday in work with a plank of wood. It was satisfying to hear the crunch as it curled up into a plattered ball of legs. I don't so much hate spiders as I love killing them. ..|

I don't get spiders, the little Barking Gekoes that live in my bookshelves come out and eat them! I am a bit scared of spiders, because in my work I often encounter Red-backs which are poisonous. I especially don't like it when they run across the back of my hands.....

Spiders are ok......as long as they don't bite....I have spider bites all over T.T but I do love tarantulas ^.^

Hmm, I also love Crickets and Cicadas, but my mom hates them, 'cuz they're annoying.......and she isn't *rolls eyes*

I love bats. :luv2:

They bring out the 1980s Goth in me. :D

Bats are great. There are a lot where I live but I'm hoping to encourage more of them. I have been wanting to get a bat house. It is a great way to get rid of the flying bugs. Being surrounded by a forest, we have a lot of bugs outside during certai parts of the year, typically right now (just started a couple days ago). More bats please!

My best friend had a woderful appreciation of nature. One of his collections consisted of some amazing bugs (they are dead and in clear boxes so that you can observe them from all sides). I'm not a big fan of bugs but I have to admit, some of the ones in his collectio are pretty amazing. Looking at them, it is just amazing to see what nature has created and makes you think about why they were created the way they were. The wonders of nature! Love it!

I find spiders to be very fascinating. I've seen a number of common spiders at my parent's place as I was growing up. The coolest one was a black widow at my grandmother's. It was so shiny looking and the red hourglass just stood out. Gorgeous!

Snakes I'm a little more hesitant. I keep a healthy amount of fear and respect for those critters. It wasn't uncommon to find all manner of snakes back home. Including rattlesnakes (Brr!).

Even Cornwall spiders need to be shown a little love and respect.
fuck off, do they!!

they should all move up Brizzel way!
just reading this thead has got me looking around my room, and all itchy!

YOU BASTARD :grrr:

I take that back.....I do have an occasional fish visit when my neighbors go on vacation. The last fish even gave me a thank you card. How many of you can say they received a thank you card from a fish? Be nice...

I thought rattlesnakes went *rattle, rattle rattle*, not *brr*?

I think they do, but the last time I found one (a little one) in the back yard I didn't wait to find out. The house cat found it and dispatched it forthwith! :)

OH MY GOD!!!

ds? You are so brave and manly. I think I'm in love. :luv2:

That is the best thing I've read all week! ..|
