I have the same problem. When I am with my bf I am complete, but as soon as I leave, I miss him greatly and feel incomplete.

He is a lot further away than 50 miles however, (try 3,000). We cope by being online together everyday, via skype. We can chat and see one another on cam. This is our best way to keep the relationship going.

I happen not be clingy at all.

But I miss my BF dearly.

I wake up at night, since I feel his absence in our bed and grow panicky over where he might be? (Duh, he is working abroad at the moment...)

We Skype. We text. We phone. Whatever comes in handy.

So, yeah. After almost 6 years, I am still missing him as badly as on the first day.

I'm in the same boat. I live in NYC and he works in Rochester. On Saturday he's going to South Africa for a month and I already feel like I'm going to die! If you ever figure out how to cope, PLEASE LET ME KNOW!

Can't he take you to SA for a week at least?

It would be worth the trouble in every sense.

I would love to go but I can't get the time off. He even offered to buy my ticket to come for a week but I just can't get the time off...sigh.

Back to topic.

I just started seeing this guy. We both agreed that we like each other and want to see where this goes, but he's in Mexico for a month.

God Bless MSN

You're not alone in feeling this way... heck, may partner and I have been together almost 13 years, and we still feel this way!

When either of us is away from home for meetings, continuing ed, etc., we always call each other - several times a day! He even calls me from work and tells me how much he misses me - and I think that's so awesome - because chances are, I've been thinking of him and miss him, too!

Love is a wonderful thing... enjoy it! :)

Jetblue! :)

It happens. How can you deal? Any number of ways. MSN, skype, phone. Why not write him a little note for him on Sunday before you head back? "Good luck on your calc exam this week. Can't wait to see you Friday." These sorts of things can help make you feel closer in spirit even if you're not in the flesh.
