when I was very young in school(I know I'm gonna catch hell for this), I worked in a pharmacy. I had a really bad tooth ache and could not get in till the next day, the pharmacist told me to take 4 200 mg of an OTC pain reliever to kill the pain. Every 4 hours until I could make it to the dentist. Will relieve the pain for you

Slice open a leaf, (stalk, whatever...) Take a Q-Tip and put some of the inside goo on it, then swab it on your abscess....
Or, just skip the Q-Tip altogether and rub it directly on the area....
It's magic stuff... I swear by it. If you swallow a little, that's OK, too... It calms down your stomach....
