I need help to learn to say "No".

I have the exact same problem. After saying yes, I usually always regret it. It is much easier for me to say no if the request is in an email. So I often tell them to let me think about it and I will let them know by email.

It's the same people who are asking for favors. As I think about it, it does seem they are taking advantage of me.

It's hard for me to say No. I hate for anyone to think I'm not dependable.

I think people unconsciously take advantage of others sometimes,this sounds like it.

Start small by asking for more advance warning, or asking for a favor back. If they're willing to accomodate you maybe they will be more considerate of your feelings in the future.

Next time someone asks...just remember this picture...and hopefully you will just laugh at them....kind of like how they say it is good to imagine everyone naked or in their underwear when making a speech.
