Boing... Boing... Boing
As I was coming home today I passed a hitchhiker toting this huge backpack. I thought it was a young man judging from the size - but it was a woman!
I was taken back for a moment. I've never seen a woman hitchhiking! She was very polite, probably in her late 30's, and judging from her comments, she's been thumbing it most all her life! She confessed that most people were very nice, but there were other times when she couldn't get out of the car fast enough... I didn't ask for details... She didn't ask for money (I didn't offer) but wanted me to drop her off so she could get a cup of coffee before heading north. My trip only took her about 10 miles up the road, but she was very thankful.
A woman hitchhiker... whoda thunk it?!?
