When I was little I used to take it to the extreme by sleeping underneath the duvet. A couple times while I've been sleeping people didn't think anyone was in the room, because I was sleeping underneath the duvet. Now I can sleep with my head and my arms out, but the rest of me needs to be covered!

nah I have a platform bed and my dog keeps all the monsters away.

I'm fine having my head, shoulders, arm, chest, etc. exposed but I can't fall asleep if my leg or foot is exposed. I can't fall asleep with my arm hanging over the bed either. I try but I always end up bracing myself and waiting for a spider to crawl up my arm or for a hand to just reach up from the foot of my bed and grab my foot. But, if I'm covered in even a bed sheet about as thick as a sheet of paper I feel totally safe.
