...to get a date. Admittedly, I look much younger than my age. I'm in my early twenties but people always think I'm in my mid teens. Could this be the reason why I can't seem to get a date? I've been called "cute" and "adorable" plenty of times before but never "sexy" or "handsome."

Maybe it doesn't help that I'm short too. 5'3" to be exact. Oh well, nothing I can do will make me taller. Are short guys generally considered unattractive too? I'd love to date a guy my height but it seems like guys my height come few and far between.

Anyone else have this problem? What do some of you guys do to try to look a little older?
 
facial hair always makes you look older, or working out.

though i dont think looking underage should be a hinderance in getting you a date.
 
many men are into young looking men... i wouldn't worry about it.
 
In mt experience, mostly older guys seems to go for the younger looking ones. I was in the same boat as you. I'm a little taller, but it was the same idea. I started working out, started dressing differently, and now, more guys and gals my age seem interested.

I would really start looking after your body. You'll feel great, and others seem to appreciate it too. I hope that doesn't seem too shallow...

You're not in Chicago by chance are you?

My point being, there's someone for everyone. Dont give up hope.
 
Hey (Latenite25) your not the only one people think are young am the same way am 20 but people still think am 16 or something and it does not bother me at all I enjoy being young it's the best time of your life and when you get older like say in the 60's am sure we both are going to look back and say god I would love to be young and in my 20's again LOL so just enjoy being in the prime of your life because it won't last forever:-)

Although it might be a hindrence to you now, eventually when everyone else your age begins to look old and less attractive (at least to some) you'll still look young. People think I look about 10 years yopunger than I am and now that I'm a little older - it is starting to really payoff
 
I am 23 and most people think I am younger than my youngest brother of 19. And I like it!
 
A lot of guys love younger guys, so it could be a plus. I was one of those guys when I was 18 I looked 13. The best thing you can do is just embrace it and make it work for you.
 
I'm about the same height. At 37, I still get asked if I'm a student (even when I have my teacher ID on). Take it gracefully and enjoy the fact that when you're older, you'll still have a youthful appearance.

Loosliam also gave good advice. You'll find someone when you least expect it.

I'm the exact opposite. I get comments all the time that I look like I'm 25. Age is some sick joke. Thats all I can say about it.
 
Everyone: Thanks for the advice guys. After reading some of your comments I'm beginning to appreciate my youthful appearance a little more.

youngnihilist, getstoseven, Gomaki: I'll hit up the gym more and workout more. I can't grow out a beard though...my face is naturally smooth...I couldn't grow facial hair if I tried.

looseliam: good advice. Nope, I'm not in Chicago. haha.

okstatecowboy: wow! that beats my predicament. I know exactly how you feel though. I've been mistaken for a high school Freshmen too many times to count.

Sadly, I don't think there are many guys out there my age who are attracted men who look 15 (no matter their age). *sigh* Maybe when I'm 30 I won't look so much like jailbait anymore. ;)
 
I don't think height is much of an issue. I'm 5'6"... and people have never complained... and I've fucked around with a dude that was probably 5'2" or 5'3"... I had no complaints about his height at all. It's kind of fun, actually.

As far as looking young, well, you definitely wouldn't even be considered in my book... but that's just me. I like the older guys. But I see no reason why you couldn't find someone. Why don't you post a pic of yourself so we can see if you really do look 15.
 
Hey, I am 22 years old and I was JUST told by a saleswoman that they don't sell kids wear in the boutique.
 
I know a lot of guys who like shorter guys. I personally don't cause I am 6 foot and a short guy makes me look like a giant. But that's more about me than him. You'll feel different when you are older and still look young.
