I only really drank once,in 1984....my sister,her fiance and some of their friends and me went up to the mountains in upstate New York for a weekend that fall.They wanted to get me involved socially and though I hated to drink,and NEVER developed an iota of a taste for beer or any liquor whatsoever....I thought what the hell and decided to see what the buzz was all about,so to speak.We went to a nearby bar,and my experiment in drunken ass was about to get launched.

I was awful...five beers and trying to take another of my group's beer while they were not looking...me feeling pretty loosey goosey and acting silly,babbling about God knows what!All I know is that I felt gassy throughout the next couple of hours,and felt like tossing my cookies,which I finally did on the way back to the cabin,though fortunately I was able to let loose outside the car as I told my sister's fiance,who was driving,to stop I had to get out for air.My sister's friend gave me some ginger ale for my stomach when we got back to the cabin,annd I felt somewhat better by morning.

I knew then what I had suspected....I didn't like liquor,and it didn't like me.So I don't drink nor had the inclination to.....so one time of being drunk off my ass was definitely enough!;)

I just don't have any desire to drink to relax or get buzzed.....I don't like the taste of alcohol or its effects.
 
Crap, my roomie went out to pick up guests. So here I am posting with a mild buzz. Very mild right now.

Just got home from a dinner party. Lots of food, lots of friends, LOTS OF BOOZE. Well, mostly just red wine, but after dinner, I was introduced to GRAPPA, which is distilled from the grape skins and other stuff leftover from winemaking. It looks like a bottle of wine, but it's a clear liquour. That is some serious stuff.
