I was gonna say basically this. When I call you "Pete" it is my way to make you more relatable. "Pcp3t3" just seems robotic, plus it's a bit annoying to type as it doesn't flow with usual typing patterns (so maybe I'm a shitty typist...but I digress). I would very much like to get to know you better...but it doesn't seem you allow for much of that. Maybe you can look at the positive side of things and imagine that being called "Pete" is a friendly intention and not so much a negative one.
