The shell was longer than the other peanut shells, and it had 3 bubbles rather than the usual two. I was convinced there were three nuts inside.

There wasn't. There were only two.

I was feeling pretty lucking thinking I had 3 nuts.

Now, I feel gypped.

I saw that skit a long time ago and every time I hear peanuts, I remember it!!
Now, I guess I should return the thread....

I've never had a three nutter, but I had a double banana a few times...

I've seen a crazy siamese peanut triplet, where it was like a little propeller.

Ohhhhh, I was thinking about something completely different....Nothing but a one track mind on a friday night...

Just for you, GSDX!

Gypped? How offensive [-X

Don't worry boys.. he clearly meant he felt swindled, ripped off, cheated..

kkthx

Oh, no. If there's another definition for 'gypped', please tell me. I only know the one, and it's the one you gave.

(Sorry if I offended anyone unintentionally.)

don imus has three balls, just thought i'd throw that in.

I'm pretty sure that I once had a three-nutter peanut shell; but I'm old, tired, and my memory is not what it used to be, so I could be mistaken in my recollection. #-o

the words we use in our everyday language that are degrading towards groups of people.

Thanks for the explanation. That word is as old as the hills up here in Canuckland, and simply means 'feeling cheated'. I couldn't see how anyone could find that offensive unless it had a meaning of which I was unaware.

'Mistaken' how, my friend? Mistaken that you're old, that you're tired, that your memory isn't what it used to be, or that you once had 3 nuts?
