I've never downloaded an album on i-tunes until today.

I just downloaded Pink's "Funhouse" album on i-tunes and the downloading process was really strange, and I think it may have effected the outcome.

First off, when the songs would download, It would download three songs at once, and then just stop. So I had to shut down the program where it it would give me a warning that the downloads will continue when I open i-tunes up again.

So I opened up the program, and three more songs, then it would just stop again. So I would continue this process until the entire album was downloaded.

So half of the songs downloaded correctly and are now in my 'purchased' folder and in the 'i-tunes' folder in 'My Music' folder. But the other half of the songs are not in the 'Purchased' folder, and are only in the 'Downloads' folder in the 'i-tunes folder' and each songs is in a '.tmp' folder without the actual track names on them. I listened to some of these songs and they're not even complete.

So I went to "Store->Check for Available Downloads..." in i-tunes to see if I could complete these downloads but it tells me that there are no downloads to complete, so it obviously screwed up.

What should I do?

I would contact the Apple Store if I were you and they can give you better directions. I must say though that I have never had any issues when downloading albums from iTunes. Then again I always wait until the full album has been completely downloaded. Anyway good luck!

What you should have done was pause some of the downloads, it seems obvious to me that 3 songs at once was too much for your connection.

I have never had a problem like this and I have been downloading music from the store for a long time, is the download box still coming up? Like, when you started the download on the left hand side bar a new option comes up. I'm pretty sure you can just resume the download.

But since you already went to advanced and checked for downloads I could only tell you to check the apple forums and get some help from there.

Something has gone wrong, either with your computer, your service provider or with iTunes itself. That said, I have never had a problem downloading music, TV shows, podcasts or movies from iTunes.

Within 72 hours (and usually much less) iTunes will email you a receipt for your purchase, and it includes a link to iTunes support if you had any problems downloading. Just click on the link and send them a description of your problem - they will resolve and/or refund your purchase almost instantly.

contact the apple store I've contacted them a few times they're nice and they really help u out !!

they actually gave me a lotta refun for problem like this

usually when I download albums, it downloads 3 tracks at a time, but all tracks usually download without problem. So I am unsure why you would have to restart iTunes in order to complete the download.

I suggest you go to your order history in your account and click on "Report problem" on the appropriate download. They will help you sort out the problem and may credit your account in order to download them again.

Do you have the latest version of iTunes? Latest version is: 8.0.2
