Well you are young so why not do it. French youth also have this "explore the world before settling down" syndrome. I have never heard of anyone for whom it was not an enriching experience.

You seem to have the gregarious character necessary to help you fit in where ever you end up.

At my age "happy" in my travels depends on the decor of my hotel room and the service provided when I arrive.

Just one request, when you reach Japan, I am sure you will see Tokyo (and take plenty of pics).
If you could find an internet cafe somewhere or something and keep in touch with us by posting some of your pics on your journey along the way, (specifically pics of Tokyo...) I for one would love it, I know many others would as well.
Only if you can of course.

Maybe keep this thread updated as your travel log?

This is what I get for not exploring Hot Topics more - I miss Taz's grand announcement - BUT, on the plus side, I PM him and once in awhile he finds the time to say hi, back.

I know he's already taken his friend to the Great Barrier Reef and then on to Tasmania to meet the folks and see where Taz grew up.

And, now, he's in Osaka, Japan. He's having a bit of a time getting good internet connections on his travels, but he did manage to log in tonight (this morning in Osaka) for a bit and sent me a PM - complete with some Pictures!

I was wondering where the best place to post them would be - I had a thought to put them in his Zombie story thread - so I went to his profile, looked at his recent thread starts - and here was this thread, taylor made by Taz himself.

Taz:

Make sure you have some Habu Saki (but only one small bottle and share it) and you will fall in love with the noodle shops... the soup is inexpensive, healthy and to die for....

I'm usually a pretty happy person, but today I'm pretty gosh darn ultra happy. And while I wish I could directly impart that happiness upon you I can share why.

Yesterday I left my job as a lifeguard, I was really humbled by the amount of well wishes I received. four girls gave me tearful hugs goodbye (girls I had trained to be lifeguards).

I left because I'm about to pick up and travel the world. I've been in the process of selling all my things so I can just take the bare minimum. In two days I'm taking my friend to the great barrier reef before we drive down the east coast of the country to Tassie so I can say goodbye to my parents. I'll be travelling to Japan and across Asia, and then over the ocean to South America, and very possibly North America after that.

At the moment I'm tripping on endorphins and going a little mad.

So tell me guys! Do you have any exciting plans? What is making you happy!?

Today we arrived in Vince's home town of Melaka.
The irony being that he is currently on the Gold Coast hahaha.
