We're getting closer. This was on ER a few weeks ago. It's not two guys, but it is two people of the same sex kissing passionately on primetime network TV. They're also not porn-type lesbians. They look like two people who actually could be lesbians. I think that alone is a step in the right direction. I think it's a really sweet kiss.

This is pretty advanced stuff for American TV. I'm suprised by it.

I'm tired of gay men in mainstream tv being treated as a tease to get viewers and then the shows pull back at the last moment. This kiss is hot. they show kisses on shows like Brothers and Sisters but not like this. I want to see mosre than just lips touching. I wanna see hands on cheeks and behind heads. I wanna see heads moving and lips forming around another guys tongue. I wanna hear then pull away and then go back for more. I wanna see men kiss each other the way men and women kiss.

I wanna see this on tv because boys suck!

That was beautiful. Brought tears to my eyes.

We've had that in movies -- there was the passionate kiss between Jack and Ennis outside Ennis' apartment when they reunited after being separated for several years -- so intense, driven, passionate, but also so conflicted. This scene was much more tender.

BBC America is currently showing the series, "In the City". I don't think the kiss episode has aired in the US yet.

I don't know whether the song (Chasing Cars by Snow Patrol) is in the episode or has been added to the clip. But it's worth listening to. Also the video of the song itself is worth a look:
