Funny. My grandmother always thought her father looked like Jolson. As I had only seen Jolson in blackfaced clips from The Jazz Singer, I couldn't figure out what the heck she was talking about. It was kinda like your mom saying she dated a guy who looked a lot like Bozo.

Now that you mention it... he does resemble some sort of a clown!

*Sigh* this brings me back so far..... My piano teacher hated jazz all throughout the 9 years I learned from her... Told me although it was fun, it was a waste of time..... Now I'm kind of envious of all those Jazz emphasis kids who can bust out a tune off the top of their heads....
