I Want to be Made into a Porn Star

If you're wanting to work for Sean Cody (or Corbin Fisher, or Randy Blue, etc) you're going to have to work very hard. I'm sure these studios are extremely picky who to use as models. No doubt they have an over abundance of applicants to choose from. And seeing that their models are (generally)consistently hot, looks are everything in this biz. They get the cream of the crop. The less popular studios look like they are less picky about appearances. They get the leftovers that don't make the cut for the likes of SC, CF, or RB. I imagine they also don't pay quite as well. Although I still some some very hot guys at the other studios.
 
You're shooting for the moon, kid. If you're "horribly out of shape", and can't get up the urge to go work out, you aren't going to be a porn star.

But Jasun hit on the right question. WHY do you want to be a porn star? If you're an exhibitionist, there's xtube. If you just like the vibe, work on getting a job off-camera. If you want people to like you, skip the porn star route, and start working on liking yourself.

Keep in mind the perspectives. Jasun is a porn producer, Ethan is a porn scout. They are going to defend their industries.

I have nothing against porn. I am a regular consumer of porn. If people choose to do porn, then by all means, go ahead.

It's just important to note it's not nearly as glamorous as its made out to be. Maybe fratmen (which, of course, involves no sex) and Jake Cruise have great supportive environments, I don't know, I haven't talked to models there. But not all studios are like that.

Let's say you're some 20 year old boy from the midwest who gets scouted by some porn producer in LA. He flies you out to LA, wines and dines you, gets you in the porn, and things go wrong. You're indebted to this guy, you're shit out of money in a huge, man eating city, all you got going for you is your body and your looks... what' sgoing to happen?

Porn's fine, do it if you want, just know the other side and the risks involved, it's not all fun and games. And to be fair it's not all that different from mainstream Hollywood. Small town boy or girl comes out to the big city and gets eaten alive. Same thing.

Man... some of the stuff you are saying is just crazy. I want to know what cracked out dudes you have been talking to. Anyone that WANTS to do porn that works with the studios I work with WILL have a good experience. You go out, as Jasun said the return ticket is already bought.... we stayed in a mansion under the Hollywood sign all this week. Made friends with all the guys, sat around and chilled, when it was time for our scenes we did what we went there to do, then all go out to dinner and go back to the place. Its like a brotherhood while you are there. I should know, I just did 6 sex scenes this week. Its totally not how you say.
 
I'm not saying either of you are lying or incorrect, there are probably good experiences in porn. But it's not necessarily the norm. For every guy who's loving it and getting flown out and treated VIP, there's a kid out there getting in trouble and exploited.

i think porn business is like any other business, there are good ones and there are not so good ones. The not so good ones normally don't last long.
