70s clothes were mostly awful, but I have to say, that was the last decade when the average straight man still showed off his body, especially his butt. The 80s, 90s, and oughts have been terrible decades for ass-watchers like me. I think the guy who invented "sagging" should be put back into prison until he learns to sew and starts a new fashion in pants that FIT. :grrr:

As for there being no AIDS back then...well, after 1977 it was out there, but we didn't know it. Most of my gay friends from college are dead; I escaped (negative to this day) primarily because I was unpopular (in the "biblical" sense of the word; people liked me, but didn't want to sleep with me). Also I didn't get invited to the Mazzola parties for other reasons.

I like young guys too. I mean I like them; much as I'd like to have sex with some of them, that isn't happening any time soon, and I like even the ones I don't want to sleep with. They're enthusiastic company, and they value me for things I value in myself. Also, most of my friends (almost all straight because, well, see above) are married with families and are busy all the damn time. I can hang out with R_____, my young, straight, and not-at-all-my-type friend because he has fucking TIME.
