I've owned 3 dell computers. The first two I had no problems.

The last, and the PC I'm using now is also a dell, I had issues after 30 days but they were all resolved. It was frustrating trying to communicate with tech support due to the language barrier.

I would stick with a Dell. IMHO. ..|

Honestly i would stick with Dell if you don't want to build it yourself. Do you want to build it yourself? Because if you do/can, there's tons i can recommend. But otherwise, i'd stick with a Dell. I don't know why you think they've gone downhill, but i've not heard or seen that in my experience. But definately, 100% positively, don't buy a computer in a store, you'll get ripped off and pay 20-40% more than you should.

Dude, yer gettin a Dell. You say you aren't computer savvy so maybe this is a good time to switch to a Mac. They are easy to use. You can still run windows (if you want).

Can you list the reason's you may not want to go with Dell again? we might be able to say if whatever those concerns are, are applicable to other manufacturers or not. it could be some of the stuff you've heard maybe is as accurate as you may have thought also. ;) because...well personally if as noelie pointed out you don't want to/able to build your own, i'd go with a dell also.

Get a Mac! Seriously, brilliant computers, so easy to use and I haven't had any problem finding software. I switched to Mac last November, and honestly, I don't think I could go back to a PC now. What do you use your computer for? Unless you're a heavy gamer or like upgrading your computer every six months, modifying the hardware etc, there's no reason you couldn't use a mac.

Mac's aren't computers, they're fruit, made only slightly less fruitish by the fact they now use Intel processors. But the fact still remains, they're not computers, they're fruit.

Don'tcha love having me back Noels? ;)

Dell PCs have always been great. Still one of the bests desktops on the market. If you can find a reason why you wouldnt switch brands then stick with it.

All I can say is avoid HP.

Look at the new iMac it will blow your mind for the price and performance. It will also run rings around anything in the clone world.
