I kinda meant during the pre-date chatting and meeting and stuff. Unfortunately, I'm -d- and I'm a 1.5. Probably not exactly husband material. :p

So it seems that there are advantages to being old and content with one's solitude.

No more anxiety or self interrogation about why one is still unpartnered or incapable of getting any sex. No need to spend my hours on dating sites, or going out to clubs nor cruising. No waves of depression wondering why they didn't show up or stopped messaging me.

Mind you I don't think I have ever been on what one would call a real date. In my youth it was a question of sex first, get to know them whilst smoking a cigarette during the aftermath.

I sometimes think that life was much easier for gays in those days.

That would be Barely Bi, then. And allow me to be a bastard here (I've had a long and intense day and that always make those buttons extra tempting to push) and say that as a 1.5 you wouldn't even be *date* material. I would still grab a drink with you, but for all intents and purposes, I'd treat you as a straight bloke. I wouldn't gamble on the .5 kicking in. And even then... not nearly enough for any kind of fun.

(seriously, how bi is a 1.5 really? Enlighten me, please, 'cause I'm not getting a level other than "I've thought of a guy as handsome. Twice")
