Here's an ABC News clip on Ice Wine Festival that was held last weekend at our local Estate Winery - they won "Best Ice Wine in the World" at a London Competition last year.

We had some discussions on Wine/Ice Wine in an earlier thread awhile back -

Note: I broke the link with a space after the forward slash, to make sure we don't run afoul of ABCNews. Copy/Paste into your browser, delete the space.

They are bringing three new vintages out this year, I think -
Their traditional White, their Red, and a new Chardonnay.

Sweet stuff!
And, moderately pricey -
$45 - $75/375mL bottle

Cheers, Salud, Skol, and all that Jazz.

Thanks for posting the link. I had never heard of that vineyard before and I enjoy a good ice wine every now and again.

Gambit,
Depending on where you are, there shop will mail/ups wine, if state laws allow.

Otherwise, it's a small, upstate Estate Winery - if you want to visit our part of the world!

Unless you LOVE snow, now might not be the "best" time to come, though, lol (see my gallery).

They have some very nice wines.
I like their Cabernet Sauvignon, Cab-Merlot, Meritage,
They have several different oaks of Chardonnay - French, American, Hungarian.
They also have some nice Rieslings.

Plus some lighter fare - a little less expensive, flavourful, would make great Sangria bases.

The first weekend in June is Fairport Canal Days - kind of the kick off to the area festivals for the summer - well over 100K people descend on the village.

Fairport is a port on the Erie Canal - if you have a boat coming Up/Down the St. Lawrence Seaway - we get a fair amount of traffic between Cleveland and the Atlantic.

Plus Rochester has the George Eastman House, The Eastman Theater, Strong National Museum of Play, Memorial Art Gallery, and we're not far from the rest of the Finger Lakes Winery Trail.

This concludes the Monroe County/Greater Rochester Tourist Bureau promotion, LOL.

90 miles South to Corning Museum of Glass, Rockwell Museum of Western Art - last year's features Native America Artist Bronze in my gallery, too.

I love Ice Wines...they're quite expensive though but it's worth it.
