  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

Ideally, where you would live!

I would like to think perhaps Spain, I am not quite sure yet. I am going to be over there in a few days and maybe I will be able to make up my mind. Then there is also Italy, but the desert Island with my own Friday , I would take any day.:D

I am of german and spanish decent. I would probably pick either. Never been to Germany, but I have been to South America. And I love latin men..they are so hot and romantic and have a sense for family!

Although, I do live in southern CO and am surrounded by national forests and state parks. No traffic and no noise, except for the occasional car or truck. 14,000 ft mountains in my front yard! I see lots of wild animals in my yard everyday! it is so cool.

But, I am alone here, so I agree with anywhere by bf is......who knows my bf could be anywhere! (Maybe someplace warm 24/7 and near the ocean?)

New Zealand..................or Italy if I could do it my way.

There are probably many places that I would consider as long as the weather was nice (similar to Southern California).

I would probably choose the South of France. One of my friends has a couple places in Nice and the photos are just beautiful. I would have to learn to speak French though.

They just need to make smoking in public illegal, which from what I have been told, they already have. YEAH!

Now I don't have to hear any more stories about Europe smelling like an ash tray.

I've considered moving to Canada on a number of occasions; British Columbia specifically, either Vancouver or Victoria. I understand it doesn't get as cold there as in other parts of the country.

And I could enjoy living in England, Oxford I think... not quite country, not quite city, but near enough to both that I could visit easily, and then there's all the great architecture and all those yummy college-boys.

A country other than my own? Well golly gee I've never been to another country.

Canada I guess :D

New england or Greece are the only places i live or want to live nowadays

been just about everywhere i ever wanted to go

the world is a nice place to visit, but home is best when its comfy and reliable.

I need a bit of history and stability where i live.

I Live in New England and love it. I would like to move back to Montreal, but I do not think I would like the winters there any longer.

France. I've recently vacationed there and absolutely fell in love with the place -- the food, culture, way of life, etc. (I live in the US now). It just seems like I fit in their society. The guys are hot too and so sexy when they talk in their lovely melodic tone. My elderly mother is all that's keeping me here, but when she dies I am seriously going to consider making the move.

I'm pretty sure Canada would be #1, no matter what.

Other places that MAY be "ahead" of my current United States: Australia, New Zealand, England/Scotland/Wales, Netherlands, Switzerland, France, Belgium, Denmark, Italy. I am only guessing here; Denmark is the only one in this paragraph I've experienced in person AT ALL, and that was very fleeting.

If I were to truly experience other places, would I find that Ecuador, South Africa, Hungary, Japan, Argentina, Senegal, Greece, Jordan, Thailand may be very desireable, for example?

There is a sharp emphasis on English-speaking countries, though for simplicity I had to assume the language barrier was NOT a factor in ranking. I am an Anglophile - I love this crazy language - and I enjoy having it as my mother tongue. I don't think that any other language surpasses its inclusiveness, capacity for wordplay, tricks and other whimsy...or its capacity to maliciously blur or hide the truth.

Climate considerations probably remove some of these countries, though winters here in Illinois are worse than in most of what I listed. Climate DID definitely remove Sweden, Finland, Norway from the list, however. That factor also militates strongly against nearly all of CANADA - except the far southwest, which has one of my favorite climates on earth.

GO NORTH YOUNG MUSKETEER!

I would love to live in Canada! With all of the terrific Jubbers there, I'd be right at home! :D

Canada or Australia.

Other countries have their charms, but I'll stick to places where I can speak the language...
