  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

If all STD's could be cured...

Sure people are going to do it anyway.

STDs cause sterility, cure the STD, erase the sterility, increase the spitting out of babies.

increase the spitting out of babies < dat bit yes and no ans while human race cans keep make da babys

ans be KOOL type lot stuff but give headache

:D

ns pineapples KOOL!

I'd rather just not get them in the first place

Yeah, I still wouldn't be slutty... I would maybe finally get around to that threeway. But I wouldn't just start humping everything.

This.

There are remedies for sore throats, ear infections, stomach problems, etc. Doesn't mean I want to get them just because there are things that make them go away.

what if it was more like in that family guy episode where technology was 1000 years more advanced:

if the cure was that easy, then hell yeah i would have tons of sex :sex:

No, I wouldn't change anything. It wouldn't suddenly make me choose to abandon frot and become a raving, raging bottom or something.

I still wouldn't have sex more than a handful of times per year (at the most) as now - I've had it both ways - I've lived as a sex maniac, and I've lived as a person whose mind is not ruled by sex and it's a trivial part of my life.

I actually like the fact it's not an important factor in my life. It is actually very liberating this way! It also removes any of the possible pretense from interactions that I have with others, and I can't even attempt to assign a value to that.

I don't like the choice I grew up with, which was a) prude, or b) slut.

The prudes have a hard time being sensual with people, and that is needless. And the sluts have a hard time connecting with people, just having impersonal hook-ups.

I'd like a balance somewhere between "uninhibited" but not "out of control."

And I think curing STIs would probably help that happen.

I don't think I'd be more promiscuous but I'd be SLIGHTLY more willing to do things like bareback and swallow a guy's load or allow him to cum inside me. But the key word is slightly. I too would be worried about viruses and bacteria mutating and the cure then becoming obsolete. But like I said, since my level of promiscuity would remain unaffected, I don't believe I have to worry too much, because I don't sleep around all that much.

I think a more interesting question would be What if STD's were eradicated all together, like smallpox was, etc., so that you have 0% chance of contracting a disease during sex. It's not just curable, you won't ever get it. I think that would definitely increase promiscuous behavior if that were to happen.

I don't think so. You are either promiscuous or not. NOT everyone can get into having anonymous/unbridled sex no matter if there is no negatives consequences health wise.

Speaking as someone that was promiscuous.

I still "stand" on my answer - it wouldn't change anything for me.

It's no different if, for example, pot were to be made absolutely and entirely legal. I wouldn't suddenly start smoking it a few times a week. For me the two scenarios are ENTIRELY equivalent...in fact I smoke pot and have sex almost equally often - two to five times a year for both, and both are entirely my choice.

One part of me wants to say, “Nothing would change.” But another part of me wants to say, “I’d make Dawson from Treasure Island Media look like a nervous virgin on her wedding night."

I guess someone will have to cure all STDs so we can find out which would win!

If STDs were nonexistant, I don't think any gay person would use a condom. They would only exist for breeders that don't want to breed.

"Breeders" would probably be even less inclined to wear condoms so the population would probably grow even faster.
