The New Orleans accent or generally the Louisianian drawl is my favourite. So distinct, so colourful.

Mind you: I also have a major fondness for any New England type of accent.

I'm Welsh, so I don't really focus on the accent of my fellow countryfolk; despite the fact that the Welsh accent that you encounter in one area of Wales can be very noticeably different even a mere ten-minute journey down the road. However, among British accents, I harbour much affection for those that can be found in the North-West of England (mainly Lancashire) and Yorkshire.

I do love some southern accents and being southern myself I speak from experience. But just like with every regional accent, some southern accents make me want to cringe.

I find many european accents quite sexy. Quite frankly I find the cockney British accent far sexier than the more posh ones that quite frankly sound extremely forced and tiresome. I like a low key Aussi accent such as Mel Gibson's. But one like Steve Irwin had is simply too over the top. Of course I have a feeling his accent was deepened for commercial effect. It made him look quite comical IMO.

Accents I do not find in the least sexy are French, any Asian accent, and Spanish (when spoken so fast it sounds like the person is having a seizure). My late great uncle was Portugese and he had a beautiful, deep sexy accent.

I chose South African. It's a lot different from the rest of the African accents.

I like the Welsh accent, but my absolute favourite is a guy from the American South... dreamy!

Scots, definitely -- although another boyfriend I had was from what used to be called Transylvannia, and it was hot, hot, hot: and as a couple we were very much in demand at Halloween parties!

Irish, British, Aussie/Kiwi, Nigerian, Southern USA, Boston USA, Italian

OK it's weird that in the US's case I can draw down to specific cities. I am well aware that diff cities in the other countries can have diff accents as well, and even in different sections of the same city (London, I'm looking at you). But I like all UK accents, and all Aussie accents, and so on, whereas there are large sections of the US where the accent is downright unpleasant (New Jersey, I'm looking at you). What I like about the Bahston accent is very specific to that city.

i have a slight southern draw myself but nothing turns me on then a girl with a little bit of a southern draw whoaaaaa

NORTH AMERICA - Trinidadian accent is the best! Haitian, Cuban
SOUTH AMERICA - Guyanese, Colombian :)
AFRICA - Afrikaans (so cute)
EUROPE - English, Irish
ASIA - Turkish, Indian (Mumbai/Hyderabad), Filipino
OCEANIA - Australian, New Zealander

I don't understand it when Welsh and Scottish people speak. I have a hard time communicating with them when I'm in the UK.

I'm a sucker for a thick southern accent... mmmmm tight jeans and tshirt, scruffy face, and a southern accent.

:drools:
