That's true: I think you can only be a genuine English teacher (I'm not saying anything about proficiency) when you smack kids with that rule. I like to wipe my ass with it (you only need to revisit old shit of mine on JUB) but I still can hear an alarm ringing inside my sick head every time I go against that holy grammarmendt

oh god, this really reminds me of a memory back from HIGH SCHOOL, but one of my teachers, a doctor of education, was my math teacher, and god i don't know how the fuck she got her doctorate cause she had the worst fucking grammar, and the worst spelling ever, and she constantly spoke in fragments.

Im thinking she gave lots and lots of BJ(s) to her presiding professors. NO JOKE. i don't know how she could have written a semi-plausible thesis and or essay to save her life.

My grammar died a few years ago. I'm over it now. I do miss her at family reunions, though.

But I now understand the difference between using less then for count nouns, and fewer then for non-count nouns.

Your next task is to learn to use "less than" instead of "less then". This is usually a typing mistake, but there are people who actually say "less then".
