There's no-one to take care of me and I'm all alone at home

Swine flu is so overrated.

I am more worried about having a heart attack or stroke...the cats would get hungry after a day or two...

Indeed, most people I know who have gone down with it, have only had minor symptoms - and mostly only found out they'd had it in hindsight!

I had swine flu too. I'm fine now.

The hospital I'm working at is trying to force-vaccinate us with some untested swine flu vaccine. Ridiculous.

How could they find it out afterwards? I go see a doctor when I'm ill, not once I feel fine again.

I'm now eating an apple to keep the swine flu away.

Pets are so overrated.

Like others have said, Swine Flu is very overrated, people are only shitting their pants because it spreads faster than the normal strain, but it's far less deadlier than the seasonal flu

Two cloves of garlic. Chop finely and leave it for 10 minutes. After that, swallow it whole. If you have problems swallowing, take it with olive oil, that should make it worse.

Trust me and do it. Garlic is the best thing to take when you're sick.

Pets are so overrated.

Do not talk about cats like that. Shut your dirty little swine flu ridden Swiss mouth!

I thought i might have caught it this week. But i don't think i did. i'm alone also so no one to help me either.

There are about 8 people in my office who have had it. All but 2 of them have said it was the worst flu they'd ever had. They were all out for about 10 working days (2 weeks). Here in sacramento a little girl died last week after catching it. I do not think it's overrated. I think you need to be cautious and realize that any flu could kill you swine flu or otherwise. I'm not sure what this "untested" thing is. But the swine flu vaccine is made the same way the regular flu vaccine is made.

first of all paws, pets are not over-rated any more than petting is :spank:(*k*)

as far as the flu goes maybe you better suck up to mr. piggy and hope he accepts your brown nosing as that marvelous sweet kind hearted person is the jub recognized ex-spurt in all matters of a porcine nature.#-o

The only thing that is more over-blown than the H1N1 virus (a.k.a swine flu), is the "controversy" surrounding the vaccine. I had the H1N1 vaccine with absolutely no adverse affects. As a health-care worker involved in pre-hospital medicine (paramedic), I feel a responsibility to not be a potential source of viral infection to the patients I may encounter.

What's the point of getting vaccinated? The flu virus is constantly mutating. You may get vaccinated from one form of virus but it's pointless -- several other "deadly" strains will appear. Ten years from now, we can expect another virus named after a farm animal.

actually, they might get a little bored, but they wouldn't go hungry

A number of my clients have had it. They all responded differently to the symptoms. Some were mild and some were very sick.

Don't underestimate this flu.

LOL. Sorry... To clarify, they thought they'd had the usual flu/cold type virus, but once they'd talked about some of their symptoms either to the docs or NHS Direct, they discovered that they'd most likely had swine flu - not the usual flu.

In Switzerland many doctors won't bother to test a patient for swine flu because of the bureaucratic procedure required... why would they bother if the treatment in any case isn't going to be any different...

As a good little swiss, Paws is expected to have a basic supply of food on reserve at all times, so at least he shouldn't starve for the first couple of weeks :D

My clients were tested. The test takes 7 to 10 days to come back at which point they have usually recovered from it.
