If you could bring back one TV series, what would it be?

WORLDS APART.

Probably none of y'all remember this show. It ran on The Discovery Channel in 2002 or 2003, I think. I managed to catch it when I had a satellite receiver on which I could get the Canadian Discovery Channel, who re-ran the series in 2004 or 2005. I've continued looking for DVD's of this show, which I WOULD SO BUY.

The premise of the hours-long show is that the show would choose a family from the USA (with one to three children), and fly them to another part of the world, into an off-the-grid tribal society, where they would remain for nine days, and they would need to adapt. Absolute immersive culture shock - no electricity, no cell service, etc. Sometimes even the children needed to learn how to participate in the capturing and killing of their own food.

The episode I remember most vividly was the New Jersey family being flown to a remote tribe in northwest Kenya. The parents were bored, the mother was rather queasy, and the two children HATED the place. There was nothing to do, the place stinks, killing animals for food is disgusting, etc. By the time they needed to be brought back to civilization, THE FAMILY (yes, including the children) WAS CRYING, BECAUSE THEY DIDN'T WANT TO LEAVE. The tribe was so accepting. An elder, who was the Chief, was SUCH a sweetheart! He was so reassuring, that the family would be all right, despite the tears and sorrow of needing to leave. He hugged everybody so tenderly.

It still makes me cry a little, just writing this. That episode was so powerful. I would so, so love to see it again!

Connections (1, 2 & 3)

It is the celebrated history of science series presented by James Burke and the BBC. It traced the amazing interdependence of politics, religion, science, art, and other disciplines to produce the innovations that made our progress possible.

No magic act in Vegas can rival its surprising reveals.

There were three series, the first aired in 1978.

Double Agents

I can't find any real info on it, but it was just two real estate agents working for the same client seeing who could find the closest match to what the client wanted fastest.

I dont honestly know at the moment.

I grew up without TV so everything I finally got around to watching was great.

I've seen various things re-run on TV years after they were first broadcast, and they're almost inevitably not as good as I thought I remembered them to be. On that basis, I'm struggling to think of anything I'd go out of my way to watch again. However, I did enjoy Two Fat Ladies, as much for their lack of political correctness as for their cooking, so I'll go with that.

Thats^ a good one. I enjoyed all the episodes and the kitchen locations.

They were fun to watch, although I couldn't hang with some of the dishes. I'm not as English as my ancestors.

My first thought is Six Feet Under but that would take some imagination as the final episode showed how all the characters died.

My second pick would be TAXI or ER

I liked Full House that was a good TV show in 90s

When I was a kid we watched The Little Rascals which were originally 1930's movies, I think. They were so funny, but when I saw some reruns after I was an adult, I didn't find them so funny.

Star Cops - from 1987!

Nathan Spring is an old police detective looking forward to retirement.
Suddenly, he is drafted into the new "Star Cops" division because there has been another murder in space, and they need answers - fast.

David Calder as "Nathan" is brilliant. He's pissed about his retirement until the murderer tries to kill him. After that . . . it's All good!

You take the good you take the bad...you take them both and there you have...
