Hey! thats the same time frame I was gonna say. The late 60's in the Haight-Ashbury district. It most defiantly was the Summer Of Love. And yes I do remeber those days.

Either to the dawn of enlightened thought, and have a nice conversation with Plato and Aristotle and so forth....Of course, I'd have to learn ancient Greek first...

As for my own lifetime, I'd travel back and impart some future knowledge on my younger self...And some stock information to be passed along to Mum and Dad...:twisted:

How the hell would you know? Have you tried yet? No I didn't think so. Do you even know the rules regarding time travel and the amount of engery required to transport head and behind in time...no. So until you give me 100% proof that you can't travel into the future then I'm sticking to my guns. There's nothing in the past for me to want to see. The future is were it's at! :p

I would want to go back and meet Rodrigo "El Cid Campeador" Díaz de Vivar and be apart of the court of Castille. I'm an AOE freak. He's my favourite campaign. He's also the inspiration for my username. I tried to register with El_Cid but it was too short.

Don't mean to be overly critical, but it's still wrong: crucifixion is the correct spelling.

If I wanted to change history, I'd go back to 1930s Germany and make sure Hitler never made it to power.

Otherwise, I'd love to go back to see the first performances of some of the major symphonies. Doesn't matter which composer.
 
Sorry, but, since history can't be changed (w/o screwing up everything), I don't desire to go back; as every era has major problems. Now, if I might peek into the "after-life".....!
 
If it was only for a visit there are a lot of times I would love to experience. If it was for the rest of my life I would stay put. I actually do think we have evolved for the better. Plenty of room for improvement, but all in all I think it is better now. But, having said that, I would love to travel to the 1920's. There is something very elegant about the era. The Victorian and Edwardian eras were past and it was the first really "modern age." It was more liberal than previously and the art movements were incredible. Specifically, I would say Paris in the 1920's would have to be a blast!
