Just now re-listening to the Lou Reed song you posted. So, Candy Darling it is. I was at The James Joyce, an Irish pub in Santa Barbara, over the weekend and was surprised and amused when the house band played "Walk on the Wild Side". Other than the hair, she actually looks a lot like Viva (or is it Viva!), another Warhol superstar.

I doubt many of us have ever seen any of the Warhol/Morrissey movies, let alone heard of them or of his troop of 'actors' and hangers on who appeared in them.

I have never even heard her name before. I have heard of Holly Woodlawn but I forgot why or where.
