If you r a short guy, are you envious of the tall guys?

At 5'7" (just a hair under) it make no difference to me. I do feel sorry for guys that are taller and constantly call attention to it. It would seem that their height is all they have going for themselves.

If you don’t like something, change it. If you can’t change it, change the way you think about it.”
~Mary Engelbreit

Our perceptions dictate how we respond to our daily stimuli leaving us no other option but to change our responses to those matters that we cannot change.

Measured myself with tape measure and a wall. Looks like I'm closer to 5'7. A small consolation .

I'm 5'7" and I suppose I do feel a little bit of jealousy as most of the people I've met like tall guys. I, however, like guys either my height, slightly taller or just shorter than me.

I'm 6ft even, and for me, there's no difference. I've seen some tall guys, as well as guys shorter than me that I'd really go for. ;)

As a 5' 4", I'd say I envy taller men than rather than tall men. Maybe like 5' 8" - 5' 10" would be my ideal height.

I don't know what it is about men taller than 5' 10"; but, a lot of their bodies appear disproportionate. Also, they don't bulk as easily. For me, there definitely is a "too tall".

I'm of average height (5'10")... I wouldn't say no to another couple inches, but I'm mostly fine with my height.

the only thing that annoys me is that I'm shorter than both of my parents (my mom is 6' and my dad is 6'3"), but I'm convinced that's because of a medication I was on in my teens, which may have arrested my growth if I was supposed to have had a late-teens growth spurt.

They had a poll on EC a couple of years ago. "Would you like your partner to be taller than you, the same height as you, or smaller than you?" "Taller" got 95% of the vote. Which means at least half of them are going to be disappointed. :)

I'm six one, which I guess is on the tall side, but it seems like I hang out with enough taller guys that I tend not to notice it. Occasionally, I'll be the tallest guy in the group, but not that often.

This article gives some advice on how to cope with this problem—

I am 6ft but when someone taller than I walks past me I feel myself automatically shrinking, weird.

I like smaller men as they can be more compact and their muscle formation is quite attractive in my opinion.

But I would also have liked, just once in my life, to reach up to kiss someone and be able to curl up in his arms with my head on his shoulder.

Is tall versus short the new cut versus uncut?

^Nah, people don't call being short or tall a "mutilation" or "disgusting" and divide the war tribes.

The obsessive personality driven by envy of taller men might consider wearing higher heeled shoes to raise their sense of inadequacy:D

Funny you should say that, I was just looking at them online today. They're so expensive :(. There must be cheaper pairs you can buy to do the same thing that aren't from sites specializing in so-called 'elevator shoes' ;).

I would suggest that a pair of higher heeled shoes are cheaper, and more rewarding than consulting with a psychologist ;)

I'm 5' 10", so pretty standard. I have always tended (just by chance) to be friends with taller guys (all my close friends are 6 +) but its never really bothered me. Coming to the Netherlands and everyone being taller than me was a bit of a shock, but I don't really care.
I do prefer guys to be on the taller side, and my current partner is 6 2 - there is just something physical and sexy about a guy being bigger than me.
