I have, on rare occasion, picked up a person in distress. In my much younger years, twice I picked up guys that needed a lift - one was a Candian backpacking in the Adirondacks - I was on business, I even let him spend the night in my hotel room - Then laid awake thinking about him in two different ways.

He was a nice kid, not much younger than I was at the time - if at all.

The second was a few years later, married, brought him home so he could sleep on the couch.

Probably not the brightest things I've ever done, but I had a sense of them.

Not then. We bought a trailer when we first got married, to save on rent till we could buy a house - he was dead tired and snoring. There weren't any stairs - and it was way too close for anything. It didn't even cross my mind. Was just being a good samaritan that night.
