If you suddenly find yourself in a mental institution, what would YOU do to try to get out?

I would fling feces at the staff to get their attention, then scream from from the top of my lungs that I am completely sane and need to check out.

Just kidding. I would calmly follow all their rules and instructions.

How about you? What would you try to do try to leave?

Neither approach will get you out.

If you are a schedule 1 patient, only meeting the clinical benchmarks as determined by the health care team will get you out.

And if you are a forensics patient, the courts will have to agree.

Unless I watched a LOT of prison and asylum movies for NOTHING, then I guess I'd just use the tried and true method: garrote the garbage truck worker, put his body in the janitor's closet, and leave in his clothes.
