My trip is over -it was a great workshop, but very intense. Add to that my grandmother having a mini-stroke AND gall bladder surgery!

Needless to say, I'm worn out and ready for bed. Will write more tomorrow. Just wanted to let everyone know I made it home safe and sound.

oh man! i hope your gran's all right.

it's good to have you back though...

:)

Gall bladder surgery. Yuck. I sure hope hers went better than mine. I look like a bad scene from the Texas Chainsaw Massacre.

Welcome back. Good to have you home. Now rest up. We need details of your time away. (*8*)

Is your friend, who was in the motorcycle accident doing alright?

Feeling smarter? At the moment, no. I'm worn out, but I do have a great number of cool new ideas to use for the coming school year.

Granma is finally coming out of the anesthesia (it takes her several days to fully come to). She also had severe heat stroke. Everything is going better. Doctors seem to think she'll be released on Monday, to recover at home for at least 6 weeks, since they had to cut rather than the laproscopy surgery.

Linoleum has not been installed yet. Message on my machine said the guy would be here on the 23rd... will believe it when it happens. The house wasn't too bad when I got home. Bathroom smelled like chlorine since it hadn't been flushed all week (I use the small swimming pool chlorine tablets to keep it clean). My flower bed out front looked horrible, guess the neighbors didn't water like they said they would.

I haven't seen the neighbors yet, so I'm not sure how Josh (the guy that had the motorcycle accident) is doing.

And thank you all for the warm welcome back! (*8*)

When I finish building the doghouse, I'll post pictures. My mom bought this log cabin doghouse kit for my dog. I'll also post some pics of the trip. :-)

:grrr::grrr:And You couldn"t Take out a Extended Vacation to "Wherever" Well,, "Welcome Back Anyway ":wave:

The weird thing was that my aunt, mom, and her brother never had any indication that she was having abdominal pains. Grandma never complained about anything hurting, other than her head. But then again, she never really complains about such things.
My aunt called a few minutes ago and said Grandma was having "issues" with walking around the hospital hallways. She wanted the nurses to stop holding onto her, so she could walk those damn halls and go home! :D That's my grandma for ya'!

Glanced thru the newspapers this morning and found an article about my neighbor. The accident involved him and a bicyclist. Josh wasn't wearing a helmet, nor was the bicyclist. They collided, killing the bicyclist and "disabling" Josh. His girlfriend gave me an update while I was at Walmart this morning. Josh is still at Via Christi, he had surgery on his head Thursday, and is starting to come around and recognize people. No neck injuries thankfully. One leg is broken and so is a wrist. She wasn't sure about brain injuries and the extent of the damage.
