I'm glad I like oatmeal

Can you eat peaches???

Its REALLY GOOD with peaches... :D:D:D

Not sure if they have glucose or not...:confused::confused:

Eating must be DIFFICULT for you... :(:(:(

I bought a white peach last week-end at Gelson's, and it was the best peach I've ever had. I had heard that California white peaches were supposed to be very good this year, due to the lack of rain, but this peach was unlike any other I've ever had. I'm definitely going to get more, even if they do have a high glycemic index - it was extremely sweet.

Maybe I can put figs in oatmeal - I'll have ripe figs in a week or so.

Eating is not so difficult if I follow a Japanese diet, and I love Japanese food.

I like oatmeal, nothings wrong with it. I've been eating it since a kid. It makes you full faster, I think.

I like mines with milk. I just heat the milk up in the microwave til boiling point and then pour it into the oatmeal, add a lil sugar and love it!

I really like MAYPO instant oatmeal, but it has become extremely hard to find. ("I want my Maypo!!!")

Pretty much ANY of the instant oatmeals that are out there - among those I've tried at least - were not to my liking. Many of them are far too sweet for my tastes. I'll use the unsweetened and add my own sugar (OR NOT), thank you...

or do a google search, it's all over the place

oooh I love oatmeal (I call it porridge)!! Have to find some in Japan - although it's maybe a bit hot at the moment, but come winter... yum!

I wish I did, for my cholesterol's sake. I have to avoid sugar (because of the glucose), I don't like cinnamon, and I have an allergy to milk. Still, I bought some oatmeal and have not decided what to do with it. It's not instant, but it's not steel cut either, and I got it at the health food store. Maybe I'll make granola out of it.

Soy milk is the answer to your prayer. Put it on your oatmeal (after cooking it in water) and I promise you (almost) won't taste the difference from cow's milk.

Soy milk.,..yecch! But the last time I had Maypo (I stock up when I go to Michigan, if I remember correctly where I got it), five or six weeks ago, I mixed in yogurt instead. I've started to use yogurt instead of milk on regular (cold) cereal as well.
