No Hitler? Come on, you're tying our hands here....

Well, if you were still in the Center of the Known Universe, I'd suggest something along the lines of: "I'm Glenn Beck's Love Child!"

That should get you some screen time on the so called "cable News networks." ..|

But since you're still in Rhode Island, perhaps something more tastefull, with a historical theme:

Hope is the State Motto of Rhode Island, if I'm correct! :D

Think of the friends you'll make, and the possible numbers you might get. :sex:

Thank you for your usual fine, fine contribution to the discussion. Another quality post. ..

I want to help but I figured that you would not carry a sign I designed.

If you agree to carry whatever I create, I will create something special just for you.

Clever. The sign has got to slam the America-Hating cowards of the GOP, that much I know, but how to do it tastefully is a vexing conundrum. After all, I intend to run for political office here, so reputation is a paramount concern.

Okay, so you've just outlaid some more defining principles and guidelines for your sign.

I see where you're going.

Well, from what I know of you personally, you're more visually inspired.

Rather than words, how about a graphic, or visual image to make your point?

What's the adage? "A picture speaks a thousand words?" ..|

Then maybe he can visit them in the nursing home.

Haven't you heard?

Nursing homes will be a thing of the past, what with the "death panels" and all. :p

Why don't you dress like a dining room table.

Should be a good meeting. Langevin certainly has a lot of experience with the health care system.

that riff-raff from Connecticut, right next door, not forty feet from where I sit, right across the river. We don't want THEIR KIND fucking things up. ...

Well, THEIR KIND didn't fuck up same-sex marriage.

But I'll be interested to read about how a town hall meeting goes in Rhode Island.

Thank you! I have my sign:

PEOPLE BEFORE PROFIT.

A shame Obama didn't have that in mind when Pharma met in the White House and came out with a deal that government wouldn't negotiate drug prices.

Oh, goodie! My Congressman, Jim Langevin, is holding a town hall Thursday afternoon in lovely Wilcox Park (Olmstead, dontchaknow) in downtown Westerly.

So I need my fellow JUBBERs help -- I need ideas for a sign. The ideal sign would be tasteful, yes, assertive, yes, but not trite. And no allusions to Hitler, if you please. Any ideas?

"Bend Over Here It Comes"

Maybe that crass, vulgar, trashy language works where you live, or maybe in some lower-rent trailer parks, but it would not be acceptable in Westerly. But thanks for sharing.

I don't live anywhere close to a trailer park and around here the truth works just fine. Maybe the snobby self superior folks in Westerly should give it a try sometime.

Your faux outrage is mildly amusing only mildly but amusing none the less.

Hey Admiral...... just one look at his avatar (and a couple of others around here) confirms he's a negative person. Don't waste your time bantering with him. That mind is made up, in his head he's correct, nothing will change it. Nothing.

No logic or reasoning will change their minds. It's their baiting, trolling. You can't debate with trolls.

You miss the mark by at least a mile. If calling me a troll is the best you can come up with you need to try a little harder. So you think in your head your not correct, I doubt it. You don't know me well enough to judge whether or not I'm negative. I know a lot of people even here that would disagree with your unfounded and illogical assessment. I thought my avatar was amusing and I have gotten several compliments on it. I was looking to change it but now I have to keep it a while longer. I will be doing it just for you baby. Glad you have taken notice of me and my ideas I will endeavor to continue to give the opportunity to do so.

Make sure you know where the local hospital is.

And maybe bring mouth wash.

THOUSAND OAKS -- A 65-year-old man had his finger bitten off Wednesday evening at a health care rally in Thousand Oaks, according to the Ventura County Sheriff's Department. ...

A witness from the scene says a man was walking through the anti-reform group to get to the pro-reform side when he got into an altercation with the 65-year-old, who opposes health care reform.

The 65-year-old was apparently aggressive and hit the other man, who then retaliated by biting off his attacker's pinky, according to Karoli from DrumsnWhistles.

The man took his finger and walked to Los Robles hospital for treatment. ...

Not that I can read this guy's posts, but about 15 ideas for signs came to my mind before I could turn down Facksnooze and type this up. But in all seriousness, I have to admit that I would love it if someone went to the meeting and snapped a pic of the OP. He should be easy to spot with his aforementioned poster. I'm just curious what he looks like. Kind of ironical that I'm one of the few in CE&P who posts his actual photo, but I digress.
