Holy crap, I just got a call from the casting director from Wheel of Fortune. I auditioned nearly 17 months ago, and I never heard anything until today. I'm beyond stoked. Quite surreal...

Does anyone know anyone that's been on a game show before? Any advice?

I was kind of hoping not to see spoilers posted from the Eastern regions. Those in the West already got a premature idea...oh well.

Yes, I managed to see it during the Eastern running, from the NBC station in Davenport IA, which I receive well.

So cool seeing you on there, Jake, and I congratulate you on your great win! Even not being the big winner, that's not a bad result at all. You actually did better than some of the people who advance to the Bonus Round (and don't guess correctly). I bet you were playing along as the Bonus Round was being taped.

Would you have "gotten it" if you had been in the Bonus Round instead? (I did solve it, hotatlboi, but I didn't think it was THAT easy. Probably easier than having a press conference in a downtown skyscraper, though, LOL.)

Not only were you "cool as a cucumber" but it was pretty clear that you were enjoying every bit of the day.

I did get it after about five seconds. I didn't know it immediately. During the bonus round, I was in the office signing all of the paperwork. I could see Julie on the monitor. The producer knew it immediately.

I had the time of my life. Now I'm starting to get the itch to apply for some of these other shows.

I must say I am particularly incompetent at those kinds of puzzles. They can literally have the entire board filled in but for a single letter, and I still cannot figure out the remaining word, absent of the one letter.
