So I'm in Provincetown, MA till monday and it only just occurred to me that I should probably let you all know just in case any of you live there. I'll be going to the parade today which starts in about a half hour and will also probably be going out every night till I leave, so if you see me out, just come say hi and that you know me from here. Hope I get to meet some fellow JUBer(s).

(and as a less important aside...why should I care? But that would be rude of me to ask, so I won't)
 
I did some googling and I think it is either Provincetown, Massachusetts or Portland, Oregon.

I'm talking about Provincetown, MA. And the reason you might care is that it's kinda a gay mecca/centre.
 
Or how about Poughkeepsie NY, Providence RI, Philadephia, PA, Pottsdam NY or Pleasant Hill MO. They all have one thing in common beside the possible location of Mr Boi...I'm not there. Why do people think anyone cares about some of these topics? It's called Hot Topics...not What's on My ADHD Mind at this Particular Moment

wow 472 posts and already the nastiness starts. the op mentions in his first sentence of his thread that he is in Provincetown Mass.

two cliches come to mind for a poster like this. one is, if you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything. the second is it's better to be thought a jerk than to open your mouth and prove it.

Hey, guess what...it originally said "I'm in P town" in the body, not just the title. He went back and edited it. If you read the posts you'd see that I wasn't the only one who didn't get it. So...that part about opening your mouth and proving it? And I didn't know there was a threshold one had to reach before being nasty. I'll reread the rules. And if all else fails, take a look at my screen name. But I'll excuse you for oversights this time.

dont bother re reading the rules.....it's not in there. it's in the rules of life, treat and speak as you wish to be treated and spoken to. oh, welcome to jub, and my ignore list.

This has to be Carnival Week. I'm jealous. You must be having so much fun. I love P'Town, so much to do, so many different types of people, great restaurants, nice beaches and of course lots of great looking guys with varying amounts of clothing on. I like staying at the Beaconlight on the street right across from the Boatslip and eat alot at Napi's. Hope you have a great time, I always do when I go up.
 
wow, who knew that a simple thread like this would be hijacked so thoroughly? Thanks swmjck, I will have fun. The parade was crazy and I got peer-pressured into dressing in some crazy, but mild, drag. I'm excited to go out tonight and dance away with hot guys and my friends.

If anybody else has any suggestions of what to do here, let me know.

I have a suggestion on what you can do...haha, j/k. I'm not a total asshole, just partial. If you had made it more clear originally about where you were and what it was all about then some of us might have been enlightened. C'est la vie. Have fun.
 
sorry theatreboi, i just get annoyed when people are nasty. i know you are having a blast. hit the ahouse for dancing tonight, they always have great music and hot guys.
 
Used to go to Carnival every year, but I haven't been there in ages.

This is the best week in the summer to be there.

Hope you get a chance to catch some of the comedy shows and other entertainments, particularly at the Provincetown Playhouse. It's world famous.

That's where we were planning on going! I'm glad that you suggested it. It makes my sorta uninformed decision feel right.

Oh no you didn't say that? Sugar, Provincetown is an historic cultural mecca very popular among gays and our allies. The vibe alone is something you can lose yourself in for days. It's a very romantic place too, for gay couples. The weeks leading up to labor day weekend constitute high season in P-Town. Being in P-Town is a hot topic, especially for those of us who have been trying to get back there for years, but always get busy and miss the season.
 
P-Town is a lot of fun, but that parade is weak.

My suggestion to you is to have some manners and not act like your screen name! While it should be obvious to gay people what P-town is, if you're ignorant, a simple "I'm not familiar with the place; could you please explain?" would suffice, but your manner of posting showed a lack of couth and manners. It's also a sign of childishness/immaturity.
