Please don't go! Isn't that how the song goes...

I don't know what really happened, nor do I really need to know. It's just sad to see some of one's friends move on to other things without you.

My hope is that they will return at some point to grace us with their wit and wisdom.

Hoody was withdrawing from JUb long before the dead rat thread happened. I have a few solid ideas as to why, but if he chose to not say them publicly, niether will i

but honestly?

the guys closed their accounts and for me, thats a sign that its no longer my business why they left. If they had wanted to ask me my opinion i would have told them. I would have asked them to stay. but they walked away without consultation. I tend to read that as a ... mind your own business... clue.

once they are gone its all academic

what is my business is why people stay

I tend to think that if we are all a bit more proactive things would change

it reminds me of that commercial about how five people are all standing around complaining about how awfull it is that someone threw garbage on the ground. as they are, some stranger walks through and throws the garbage away, taking less time and effort to fix the issue than complain about it.

i dont want anyone else to leave and i think if we all take the time to just start one or two well thought out threads a week about something we think or believe things would improve 90 percent.

the civility thing?

people have to clean their own yard first. there has never been absolute civility here for as long as i have been here...

all the oldies who are remembering the past through rosy glasses arent being honest. think about palephoenix and his constant flame wars, or wasp and his flame posts... or Paisleyboy and his sarcastic and mean spirit...

we all know the list goes on and on...

maybe it matters more as you take it more seriously. in the beggining seeing people argue is like seeing strangers argue... not really noteable. once you are emotionally invested in the people involved though, it becomes much more memorable and you respond to it viscerally and tend to take sides.

just a few thoughts... not saying i'm right.

I know its an advert for an insurance company, but it's the spirit of civility that got to me.

I'm guilty of letting the elevator door close. :(

But I AM usually willing to help someone out in traffic. :D

As "They" say, "Pay it Forward". That which you Give is what you shall Receive.

I do not see "The Golden Rule" quoted in JUB's Code of Conduct. But, one would hope it should be a "Given" ... and, not just "Here".

However, there are times we are handed "more", or "worse", than we deserve. A gal at work, who recently retired, was often heard to say, "Some people's children! ..."

But, yeah!, "they" are out there! And, unfortunately, "they" can become just too overbearing. The results can be discouraging, deplorable, and disappointing.

The good news is ... we have a JUB to attend to! And it is up to US to soldier on as best WE can!

Our former comrades shall be sorely missed! And, should they find their way back to us, Welcomed, again, with open arms!

But, there are "newbies" arriving, by the multitudes, every day! And through our own respect, concern, and compassion, we can hope to help Them, help Us, keep this "Place" what we have come to cherish. (group)

I tend to think about you and all the stife you were involved in. "The world is at war and I'm in the crosshairs" type of thing... (rolleyes) thankfully I managed to save a pic of your ripped abs to keep things in perspective! :) Then I think of kahil, my favorite long lost thug-boy. Yes, yes I still love him.

I'm not smart enough to know what that means... so I'll have to rest on reality as I know it. :) I haven't checked your photos in awhile... heh, heh.

Bradlee, I wish you all the best for your move to the new apartment.
Take good care of yourself and come back when you can.
