I know how you feel with the lonely bit being that it is jusy aftre the holiday season. But Keep your head up man, 2008 is a whole new year start a new go out and find someone enjoy yourself, in the meantime here are a few

Clean out your bureau/desk drawers and closet and toss out the stuff you don't use/want/need anymore.

Work on getting to that point. Where you enjoy your company so much that being lonely isn't such a bad thing. Not only will you be happier, but you'll tend to attract more friends that way. Or so I've found myself.

You really aren't alone even though you feel "lonely" for the nonce. I think Paul Williams expressed my view with "rainy days & mondays always get me down...." This too shall pass.
