Im not sure if i was rapped when knocked out

Im really scared, i just went to pride this past weekend and i had way to much to drink. I know i should have drank responsibly but i didn't. The last thing i remember is going into a handicapped porta potty, and then waking up in the nurses station 3 hours later. I was so flustered and shocked when i woke up that i didnt even think to ask the nurse how i got there, out of a mix of being completely horrified and shocked. I finally found my friends and went about the rest of the night not thinking about anything. I didnt feel sore, or gross, i didnt even throw up. It wasnt till the next morning when i went to the bathroom, #2 that when i went to wipe my area felt sore. Im not a bottom, i dont bottom nor have i for a couple years. But just the outside area felt a little tender, no blood, no marks just sore. This is the second day and it doest seem to hurt just when i wash and my hand brushes up against it. Its never hurt when i sit down or when i walk, and i would have thought if i had been really handled that i would know because i dont bottom. Idk im just really scared because i dont remember anything. Any advice would be great, and yes i know im an idiot for drinking so much, Im just really scared nothing like this has ever happened to me before.

Did you ask your friends if they brought you to the nurses' station? I would ask them and see if you can piece together what happened. I would hope your friends would not abandon you if you were that drunk.

On the other hand, just because you blacked out for three hours, it doesn't mean you were unconscious for three hours. I had a friend who once got really drunk and blacked out. His gf later told him he fucked her, but my friend didn't remember. She was really pissed off at him. I've had enough to drink where I thought I passed out, only to find out later that I was walking around and talking for hours that I did not remember. Try to find out what happened.

yeah the last thing i remember was the bathroom, they said they lost me... i really feel my best bet is to get tested, im just so lost right now on what to feel. But thank you for your words.

This situation is a difficult one. If there was more certainty that you had been raped, you could have had a sexual assault exam which would have confirmed whether you had possibly been penetrated without a condom. And you would have been offered post-exposure prophylaxis- anti-HIV meds if semen was found in the exam.

Because there is uncertainty, you will probably have to go through an STD exam along with the 3-6 month HIV testing process. If you have a good relationship with your primary physician, you can talk with him/her about it. If you're not discussing it with your physician, your local public health clinic or Planned Parenthood will be able to discuss your options with you.

how did you get to the nurses station? where and how did you find your friends? Were they looking for you or did they abandon you while you were in the porta potty? There's a lot of missing information. you need to find out where you were, how you got to the nurses station and in what condition you were in when you got there. I've worked emergency medical tents before and sometimes security or police find people passed out all over the place and their friends are either scared & ditch them or they really aren't your friends and just wanted to keep partying not really caring about you. Most of the time patients are found propped up on a park bench or near a tree and nobody knows them. their "friends" are no where to be found.Sometimes security would find someone passed out in the porta potty. people would be waiting in line and when the occupant didn't come out for a while security or the police would open the door and find the person sitting on the toilet, passed out. If you were found alone in the porta potty and the door was locked it's not likely you were raped. when someone was brought in We'd make sure they were just drunk and let them sleep it off for a while. We never had anyone brought in where we suspected they had been sexually assaulted. Where your clothes still on when you were brought in? It's possible something happened but not likely. there usually is a medical record kept when patients are brought to the tent. try to get the information. it should tell you how you ended up there and in what condition and where you were found. I'd also be pretty pissed off at my "friends" for leaving me if that's what happened.

its too late for a rape kit to be performed. your best course of action is to try and put the pieces of the night together and get tested for the routine std's.

Common story. While I love alcohol, it's led to countless rapes among gay men. You drink too much, you black out and get raped, or you go home with someone you'd normally never be into (blacked out) which I consider a form of rape too. You were either raped or you fell on your ass. Not to be explicit but if there's no tear it may have been a small penis. Sorry to say - get tested and watch your drinking. Good luck.

Some good replies here. I agree likely you were not passed out but blacked out but very much awake walking and talking for all or part of that time. Can understand your justifiable fear and have been there (sadly) many times in the past. Don't forget you could have fallen , bumped into something, stumbled about causing your bum and guts to be sore. You wouldn't remember that either. Lucky enough not to get injured or a colorful bruise, .. that's real lucky!!
Also if you were standing or walking in the elements for a long period of time ` something you are not normally doing, it could cause your muscles and body to be sore. Booze outside parties (sun, wind) in quantity dehydrates and makes it worse the next day (being sore) even if you don't get sick.
Now if you regained your thought at the nurses station and had your socks and shoes off or missing, belt or shirt on backwards or worse yet pants on but missing underwear, ouch. That could be more concerning or maybe you just went natural.
Usually a dirt bag won't risk such a thing as rape at a large public event unless they can willingly get you to the flea bag dive, back to a car, or their place. And in such a case if they get you there they will leave you if they don't duct tape you up and cut your arms off while pulling out your eye balls. Someone passed out limp out of it is not a likely candidate to carry back to such a place. Maybe blacked out you did meet someone for a trick and consented that is the fear I know. Is that rape? I don't know.

True. One time I went to a party. I was unemployed, really broke, didn't know how I'd pay the rent. I was feeling pretty blue and decided I was going to have fun and not worry about anything. I got so drunk I blacked out. I didn't black out, though, I just didn't remember what happened for the last hour or two before I went to sleep. Others told me I was bumping into things and fell a couple times. I woke up with bruises, bump on my head, sore. Didn't remember getting any of those injuries.
