I'm observing this new trend in gen z couples

Generator z young couple. Girl has 2 jobs to pay rent and other bills. Guy just sits at home hanging out with his buddies playing video games.

I started noticing this trend (if you wanna call it that) a few years ago. I rent to quite a few young people. While this type of young couples are not the majority of gen z, they are definitely increasing in numbers.

Is this some kind of rebellion against the boomer generation that emphasized a strong work ethic for the "man of the household"?

BTW, I have begun avoiding renting to this type of couple. 100% failure rate so far.
 
well duhhhh.

There have always been these types of loser relationships where the woman is exploited by a lazy (usually addicted) male. Literature is full of these characters.

And no. If She is the one making the $$$$ don't rent to them as a couple.

It's not your concern as long as they pay the rent and don't act inappropriately anywhere in the common areas.

It is my concern if they stop paying rent because they can't keep up with the bills while the guy continues to sit at home playing video games all day.

I said in the OP so far my experience there is a 100% failure rate when it comes to this type of couples. I've had to evict 100% of the time with these guys.

And boy do they argue all the time and very loudly.

Which is why I stopped renting to this type of couples.
