Like fuck i am, but with this traitor girl being in the news so much it reminded me that a lot of men from here and all over the world actually set off to join these nutters and a life of murder and rape.

I off course don't agree with them at all but it nice to see that they have some get up and go about them, anyway onto the reason for this thread.

What war or battle in the past would you gladly have signed up for ?

For me it would have to be WWII and some of the Scotland/England battles.

There was a news story tonight and we have a ISIS bride who left Alabama at age 19 and is now allegedly regretting it and wanting to come back with her 18 month old son.

The fact that she cheered others on to attack Americans, and only seems to be repenting because ISIS has lost almost all, I don't think she should be welcomed. She can take her chances in the Levant.

I would have fought the War of 1812 just because.

None for me either. I'm a lover, not a fighter

I wouldn't want to sign up for any, but I try to be honorable and might have reluctantly. I don't know which ones. I was apparently going to be drafted into the army during the Vietnam War and decided that I could not/would not flee to Canada, so I did sign up in the U.S. Air Force before they drafted me as a lesser evil and safer position. I more or less assume that I would not have lived through the war on the ground in Vietnam. I was fortunate that I was never sent to Vietnam during the war but was sent to Thailand which was relatively safer. (It was also sort of honorable to do my duty.)

One of my little cousins is going into the Marines in May. He’s like 130 pounds and I’m pretty sure still a virgin, I don’t think he’s ever even been on a date. The Marines are either going to change him or chew him up and spit him out, I can’t decide which.

As far as me, I seriously considered going post 9/11. They tried recruiting me a lot junior and senior year of High School because I was leaning towards a Criminal Justice degree, and working for the police after school and on weekends.

Funniest recruiter story is we ALL hated when they would call and annoy us. So one November afternoon some of my friends are over and we are up on the roof hanging lights and decorating for Christmas for my Mom. Well the Marine recruiter calls and I’m on the roof, my Mom yells up to me that I have a phone call and I ask “Who is it?!” She replies “Your lover boy boyfriend in uniform calling to wisper sweet nothings in your ear some more!” At this point I go about as white as a sheet because A) I’m not out and B) I was dating a cop at the time. Somehow I laugh and say throw me the damn phone. So I catch the phone and say “Brian ya fucker what do you want?” It wasn’t the cop, it was the Marine recruiter on the phone with his training officer or supervisor 🤣 I was shocked by everything I fell off the fucking roof 🤦🏻*♂️

The War of the Worlds. I'd love to kill me some commie martians.

Right now I'm on a bus with a bunch of Marines. But we'll be parting ways in Richmond. I believe they're headed to Parris Island.

See this movie! It is absolutely brilliant. It helps make the unimaginable imaginable.

The trailer avoids showing what the movie does not: horrific images of suffering, pain, death and destruction. Having seen it, you will never want to be in battle, and be happy that you live in a time and place where it has not been necessary.

Non, war are caused by politicians (professional and non professionals), so the politicians head should be chopped first.

Don't forget to raise your Bible as you announce, "we come in peace."

Yeah, it really was a Great War. Good choice.

So, a guerilla war? We'll have your camo sent to your sister's house then, and she can get it to you.

True, but what was the choice in WWII after it had begun?

Europe failed to contain the fascists on their own. Britain tried to stand back but was forced to declare war after the Germans just kept taking countries in the blitz.

Would you prefer to be sitting in German Leicester right now and heterosexual, or interned?

China was too feeble to push back the Empire of Nippon, a nation of 71 million which quickly subdued a nation of 500 million. (The Wiki information on 1939 populations of Japan and China is hugely wack, btw, citing Japan as more populous than China. Uff-da!)

And, speaking of the Empire of the Sun, it is estimated that the Japanese killed from 6-10 million in their invasions. It is a Holocaust not so well mourned in American and Europe, but is hardly forgotten in the East, yet they are by far our closest Far East ally. Wonder how that makes us look to the rest of the East.

I would gladly sign up for all of them but I have like ten bone spurs.
