I'm so old I remember............?

I remember watching the following now-defunct CBS soap operas.....

  • The Edge of Night
  • Search for Tomorrow
  • Love of Life
  • The Secret Storm
  • Love is a Many Splendored Thing
  • Where the Heart Is
  • Capitol

I remember seeing Dolly Parton for the first time on the Porter Wagner show. Which means that I also remember getting towels out of boxes of Breaze Detergent!

I remember those really cool "peddle cars" that were made out of metal, and didn't require batteries nor were they made of "plastic." And they still got better mileage than SUV's. Of course I also remember when we didn't talk in 3-letter pseudonyms.

FIZZIES!!!
We used to put them on our tounge (instead of in the glass of water), and let them foam, fizzle, burn........
I believe there was a warning on the tablet package NOT to do that....probably why they stopped making them.
I used to LOVE the Root Beer!!!!

I'm so old (and a nerd) I remember AOL (1.0) it came on 5 floppies!

300 baud modems that worked by placing a telephone receiver into a specially designed cradle that was connected to the serial port of your Apple II computer!

I remember those too! The first Apple II I worked on had an all green monitor screen!

I remember Jack Kemp as the Bills QB. My dad took me to my first Bills game at "The Rock Pile" the old Memorial Stadium in Buffalo long before they had moved out to Orchard Park..
