I'm so old I remember............?

When There were two types of Prell shampoo (do they even make that brand anymore?), Liquid Prell and Prell Concentrate...

when my mother used to buy Luster Creme shampoo in a white jar! It was a pink cream!

when it was a Big Deal for a woman to "wash and set" her hair ... it was something she only did once every four or five days or so!

when it was a big deal that the family down the road got a color tv...we didn't get one for another four or five years. Of course with only four channels to watch (3 American and 1 Canadian), and only being allowed to watch 1/2 hour each school night, what was I really missing?

Chuck Woolery as the host of the original "Wheel of Fortune"

Art Fleming as the host of the original "Jeopardy"

Dennis James as the host of the original "The Price is Right."

Peter Marshall as the host of the original "Hollywood Squares"

Dick Clark as the host of the original "Pyramid"

^ it was during an episode of Wheel of Fortune with Chuck Woolery that I discovered *|* ! :D

...Filmstrips in elementary school, with the soundtrack that had the "beep" when you were supposed to turn to the next slide!

Watching a reel-to-reel movie backwards and the whole class screaming with laughter.

I remember those filmstrips with the sound records. If there was a skip in the record, it threw everything off!

And the record was always horribly scratched so you couldn't hear anyway!

*mfgff argfhfhhgh elgughh phrehfghfg rtff faff mrwfphghfuf frtfhgh. BEEP! *

VCR's that were half the size of the TV and cost $700 or more. Or better yet BETA! If your to young to know what BETA is just PM one of us old coots and we'll explain.
