- Santa didn't show up until AFTER Thanksgiving
- Was in the Department Store, not the mall (of course I also remember a time before the area between the stores had a roof too, so it wasn't a proper mall yet!)
- And the pictures were taken using film cameras, parents would have to order prints for delivery by mail, hopefully before Christmas!

ISOIR That I remember seeing Santa Claus for the first time back in 1944. He told me that he brought me this nice Lionel Electric Train. I was frightened out of my wits. How was I to know it was my dad in a Santa Claus suit?
