I'm so old I remember............?

ISOIR when everyone would laugh at fucktards like the center of science and the public interests

ISOIR when TP hadn't been invented and Willie had to use corn cobs

ISOIR when food was not loaded with chemicals and chickens were not fat

ISOIR: "Howdy Doody" and "Buffalo Bob"!

Keep smilin'!!(*8*)
Chaz ;)

ISOIR: Hand pumps in the kitchen. Bath tubs that were actually tubs, filled with water from the pump, that you'd heated over a wood fired stove. Oil lamps. Hardwood floors that were Real Wood. Braided rag rugs. Hand crocheted throws. Using an ax on the chicken(s) you were having for dinner. Corn cribs. Stone fruit cellars. Canning veggies in Mason jars. Spring houses, which also kept the milk cans cool. Making apple butter, in huge iron pots, outside over an open fire. Going on "hay rides" to actually collect hay. Hand cranked phones. Wash boards, and hand cranked wringers. Hand operated apple corers, and cherry pitters. Shucking corn. Collecting sap to make maple syrup.

All of that was still my Grandma's place in the mid, to late, '50's ... (I was born in 1950.)

Keep smilin'!!(*8*)

ISOIR watching "The Long Ranger" on Saturday mornings on a black and white television.

ISOIR rushing home from school to watch Howdy Doody

ISOIR when clothing was made from leaves and animal skin and was functional instead of stylish.

ISOIR That I remember the same stuff and a lot more KYanimal.

I was born in 1940. And this post made me have a weepy spell, for one of the challenges of old age is to have people share this kind of memory. It makes me feel better to have done that. Thanks.

ISOIR I remember as if it were yesterday, my older brother dying in the bedroom we shared together and it has been sixty-six years next month. He had a rheumatic heart.
