im terribly sad

There is a gay community center in Rochester called Gay Lesbian Community Services Of Southeast Minnesota (http://www.glcsmn.org). They should be able to help you find a support group and they probably have a list of gay-friendly doctors and therapists.

In a support group you will most likely find other guys who are going through the exact same thing. You end up helping each other just by sharing the same experience.

Your doctor can diagnose whether you are clinically depressed. There are many ways to treat depression. In my case, it’s a chronic condition and I am on medication for it. Depression can be very debilitating because it robs you of both the energy and the desire to take action. In cases it can lead to other medical problems.

Rochester has a Metropolitan Community Church, Healing Spirit MCC (http://www.hsmcc.org). MCC congregations are comprised primarily of gay and lesbian people and are always warm and welcoming places. I met many of my friends at MCCs in New York and Connecticut. I also met my husband of 9 years there. It was at MCC where I got over my shyness because going to church is non-threatening and you can decide when and how you want to get involved.

There is also an organization that provides services to gay youth, Rochester Area Gay and Lesbian Youth Services (http://www.gayyouthrochestermn.org). At 23 you are well past the age group they serve but they can probably tell you about other services in the area.

Yeah, I know the feeling. I'm really shy too.
Just hang in there. You're bound to meet someone eventually.

Don't believe that you need many people in your life to feel happy. I have a few great friends in my life and that's all I need.

Hey I'm shy too! :)

But you know what you need before you get that boyfriend. You need to believe in yourself. That's right. You know what strengths you have and what weakness you have. Build on that. Once your comfortable with yourself then you can start to make friends. Once you have friends, that sets up a basic network. Work on that network and you'll get a boyfriend when your ready to. It won't be easy and sometimes it takes awhile to work at it but nothing fun in life is free! :) Trust me.

Thanks for the links Megustamyn, bout to head to bed, but i'll check em tomorrow.

Still havn't been to any chat rooms as a few people have suggested, like i said im terrible at net surfing, and havn't been able to find any uality rooms, anybody want to reccomend a few?

And! i talked to a customer in my line today, for this first time in my 2 or so years at work, beyond the normal hello, how are you thing. and i don't even say that to a majority of my customers, but im making myself ask it to everyone, and how their day is going. But i talked to her about her cats! so.. umm ..| (!)

sorry i can't recommend any chatrooms, as i never really join any.

a great step in the right direction! find any excuse to talk, any reason at all. nice weather, i like your shirt, how did you dye your hair that color, anything. you're doing great!

Sorry to hear about your situation, I'm really shy and a lot of guys just seem to not really want to get to know me because of my shyness. Though people online are so much wanting to meet me but they are like in different counties or states.

You're totally feeling sorry for yourself.

STOP that first.

Um...

I'm SUPER-TIRED and will consult you later.

And I used to be so shy, is was nauseating. Somehow though, I just grew out of it and grabbed the social ring, and jumped in! It's much more fun when you're 85% social and 15% introvert, instead of 30% social and 70% introvert. :-D

Don't get me wrong though; introverts are far sexier than the other, very talented usually and intelligent but seriously, live a little! I didn't read it all but that hottie, Skater Boi probably gave great advice. I like the way he started his paragraph off.

But I'm tired. Need sleep. NOW. z_Z

Merry Christmas, yall. And here's to reviving this damn thing!

Man, you are only 23!! You got a whole life ahead of you to have a boyfriend and have a first kiss. I'm 30 and would give my left nut to be 23 again. Try to enjoy it!
