Something is very wrong. This behavior is very much out-of-character for OSX.
I'd look at bad RAM first; that seems to be the Number 1 problem. You wouldn't put the wrong spark plugs in your car, would you? Have you had the RAM tested?
The other possibility is some kind of software compatibility; All-In-One printers are notorious for this.
If we had a few minutes, with no doubt, we could make your Mac crash-free.
The story happened a year ago or so. There was no hardware failure. The guys at Apple recommended me to reinstall OS X. Which I did and it helped. But it didn't last for long. Some month after that, the logic board started malfunctionig and the local Apple store here in Munich took it into repair for 5
weeks. So you see, my experience with Apple has been rater... mixed
